By the end of winter, we are usually left with the image of tainted snow: Grey, muddy, and discolored. Day in and day out, we trudge through it until it melts away into the ground. Often, it reflects our frame of mind after an exhausting day.
But here, away from the highways and concrete sidewalks, the snow shines white as ever. We see a brief glorious harmony between the ground and sky, light and snow.
It’s an image. A moment. A beautiful painting of nature. Upon gazing at it, the sweet light fills our eyes. What slowly ensues, is a softening of the brows, a release of the tense shoulders, and a smile.
It’s a moment when all your cares flutter away. If only for a moment, let’s stand, and enjoy.
